Over the past several years, VersaBadge has worked with incredibly innovative hospital clients throughout the country to improve and evolve the VersaBadge platform in order to address a host of RTLS (real-time location system) use cases, from time studies to asset tracking, elopement monitoring, handwashing compliance reporting, staff duress alerting and more.
How it Works
A network of receivers are installed in key locations throughout the hospital and are mapped to the facility's floor plan. Receivers are connected to the hospital network through WiFi or POE. Small, unobtrusive Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons (badges) are worn by caregivers and other staff or affixed to hardware assets. Beacons transmit signals to the receivers which relay data to the cloud. Our proprietary VersaBadge location algorithm precisely identifies the location of people and assets. VersaBadge's web-based software surfaces location information through customized client interfaces that also provide access to detailed historical reporting and a wide range of alerting capabilities related to staff duress alerting, elopement and asset inventory management.
